Brent Lewis is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (UBC), Faculty of Medicine School of Rehabilitation Sciences with a degree in Physical Therapy (2000).

Brent has strategically invested in his comprehensive post-graduate education diversified and work experience. This investment has enabled him to develop a comprehensive knowledge base and skillset to effectively evaluate, analyze, and treat client’s movement and pain presentations from straightforward to complex. Thus in 2000, Brent coined his approach, which he continuously evolves with ongoing study, as an eclectic physiotherapy integrated functional restoration system.

Brent’s evaluation systematically identifies the root cause of the client’s presentation. Subsequent to this identification, he employs his skillset to address the issues including: education of the issue specific to the patient’s presentation, manual therapy (joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilizations, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilizations), individualized exercise prescription (specific motor control stability exercise, sports performance exercises, strength and conditioning exercises, and work-related functional restoration exercises), therapeutic taping, and therapeutic modalities.

Brent has a special interest in designing innovative exercise programs for functional movement and athletic/sports performance and injury rehabilitation. He has a special interest in rehabilitation of the shoulder and lumbopelvic hip disorders. Brent’s philosophy is to provide individualized correction of the weakest link in the movement chain resulting in a person’s injury presentation.

Outside of physical therapy practice Brent is also a certified strength and conditioning coach working with teams and individuals. Brent also volunteers coaching premiership soccer and coaching in a soccer academy. He is also a busy father of three children. Brent practices what he preaches by continuing to work on his own strength and conditioning and outdoor active lifestyle.
